Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir is widely known for his knack of playing instrumental innings in big tournaments. In two of the World Cups that Team India has clinched in the 21st century, Gambhir made significant contributions shining with the bat in the finals of both the ICC tournaments.

The Delhi-born cricketer turned politician has long bid adieu to his international career and is currently leading the India Capitals squad in the ongoing second edition of the Legends League Cricket.

The Gautam Gambhir-led side is currently having a great outing in the competition. With two wins in four games, the Capitals are at the top of the points table and emerging as a strong candidate to feature in the finals.

Meanwhile, the former Indian batter was taken aback on Sunday as a young kid went on to touch his feet and requested an autograph. The 40-year-old was surprised but graciously obliged the request and gave his autograph to his fan.

Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir who is also known for his critical opinion recently opined that worshipping of a particular player is not a good idea for the other players in the team.

Notably, Gambhir cited the incident where Kohli's 71st international century was celebrated by the nation,  but no one paid heat to Bhuvneshwar Kumar picking five wickets in the same game against Afghanistan during Asia Cup 2022.

"Everyone celebrated Virat's ton as that was the only thing good happened in the match. What about Bhuvneshwar Kumar who picked five wickets in the game. Such worshipping of a particular player is not a good idea for other teammates," he observed.
