Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal once again won hearts on the internet as he celebrated a remote Karva Chauth with his wife Dhanashree Verma. With the 2022 T20 World Cup being just around the corner, Chahal and the Men in Blue are in Australia while Dhanashree is back home and hence the couple completed the rituals of the festival virtually.

In a clip posted on Instagram by Dhanashree as per tradition looked at Chahal's face, and then at the moon before ending her fast by drinking some water. Before the start of all the ceremonies, Chahal had also wished Dhanashree a happy Karva Chauth on Thursday.

The video was captioned, Verified 🇮🇳 —> 🇦🇺 waala karwa chauth ❤️@yuzi_chahal23. Whereas the bunch of pictures posted by Chahal said, “Happy Karva Chauth wifey. Love you.” Check the video here:

Talking about Chahal and the Indian team Down Under, The Men in Blue suffered a 36-run defeat against Western Australia XI in Perth. After registering a win in the opening game, the Indian team invited the Aussies to bat. Led by D'Arcy Short and Nick Hobson's knocks, Western Australia posted 168 runs in their 20 overs.

After a shaky start, the Short and Hobson duo combined to score 110 runs as they individually put up 52 and 64 respectively. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers as he took three wickets while giving away just 32 runs in his four overs. In the second innings, the Men in Blue got off to another sluggish start as they lost Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda cheaply.

This trend continued throughout the game as only KL Rahul could find the middle of the bat and scored a patient 74 off 55 balls. But all the other batters couldn’t find their feet as India was reduced to 132 at the end of the game.
