With less than 24 hours remaining to the start of the Asia Cup 2022, Indian vice-captain KL Rahul shed light on the mindset of Team India on Friday ahead of their opener against Pakistan on August 28. The pivotal continental tournament will take place from August 27 to September 11 in the United Arab Emirates.

The clash between India and Pakistan is usually the most-watched cricket match as the two teams meet each other only in multi-nation tournaments like Asia Cup and ICC tournaments.

Ahead of their opener against Pakistan on Sunday, Indian opener KL Rahul, who has made a comeback to the Indian squad after suffering from a groin injury during South Africa T20Is, provided insights into India's squad. In a press conference, KL Rahul talked about the high-intensity game against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

"We always look forward to India-Pakistan clash as we don't play each other anywhere else but these big tournaments. So, it's always an exciting time & a great challenge for all of us to compete against a team like Pak," he said while addressing the media.
