The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad on Tuesday, April 25 that will travel to England for the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. The one who has made his comeback in the squad is India and Chennai Super Kings batter Ajinkya Rahane who showed his explosive form in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy and continued it in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League as well.

Rahane has been showing top-tier performance with his powerful hits at the IPL 2023 where he represents the Chennai Super Kings. In his five innings this far, he has scored 61, 31, 37, 9, 71* with a strike rate of 199.05. Not just the fans but also the All-India Senior Selection Committee has taken his performance into account and included him in the squad for the World Test Championship final. Notably, Rahane was last seen in whites in January 2022 during the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town, where he could manage to score only nine and one in both innings. However, seeing his recent innings and powerful knocks in the famous T20 league, he has been picked for the upcoming tournament set to be played from June 7 at The Oval, London.
