With the ODI World Cup nearing, the teams are toiling hard to clinch the 50-over trophy. While all teams have begun their intense preparations with each playing warm-up matches ahead of the ODI World Cup, Team India saw their match against England get called off without a ball being bowled.

India vs England: The match between India and England was called off with a single ball being bowled in Guwahati. Earlier in the match, Team India kipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first, but before the teams could take the field, persistent rain forced the match to be abandoned.
Australia vs Netherlands: Australia’s first warm-up fixture, which was played against Netherlands was constantly interrupted by rains, forcing it to be cut short to 23 over per side match. After a delayed start, Australia posted 166/7 in the 23 over after opting to bat first, but the Netherlands inning was marred by torrential rain, following a no result in the game after the Aussies reduced the Scott Edwards-led side to 84/6 in 14.2 overs.
Asian Games 2023 Men’s Cricket:
Nepal v Maldives: The Rohit Paudel-led side opted to bat first after winning the toss, early on October 1 at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou, China. The side posted 212/7 in their stipulated 20 overs with the skipper scoring the only half-century. However, on the back of a brilliant bowling performance, Nepal bundled out Maldives to 74/10 in 19.4 overs, winning the match by 138 runs.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma expecting their second child: Reports
With the start of the ODI World Cup, now less than five days away, reports of Virat Kohli becoming a father again lit the internet on fire on Saturday, September 30. The couple is reportedly expecting their second child with the Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma currently in her second trimester. However, the couple hasn’t put out any statement on the same and plan to announce it at a later stage.
Zaka Ashraf takes a U-turn over his “Dushman mulk” remark
The PCB Chairman, Zaka Ashraf on Saturday took a u-turn on his “ dushman mulk ” remark and thanked India , the hosts of the ODI World Cup 2023 for their warm welcome and hospitality. In an official statement released by the PCB, the Chairman said, “The fantastic reception of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in India for the World Cup proves how much love the people of both countries have for each other’s players. This love was evident by the reception arranged at the Hyderabad airport.”
This could be my last World Cup for Team India: R Ashwin
India off-spinner R Ashwin opened up on his retirement rumours which have been going on since long now. However, the veteran Indian cricketer put an end to it as he opened up about the Cricket World Cup 2023 being the last one. While speaking to Dinesh Karthik in an interview, Ashwin said, “I have kept saying this, this could be my last World Cup for India.”
