At the Stade Yves-du-Manoir, India were down to 10-men for the majority of the contest, but they managed to keep the scoreline to 1-1 at full-time versus Great Britain in the quarter-final.

Before this clash, Sen registered a monumental win over Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen 19-21, 21-15, 21-12 in the quarterfinal and took down fellow Indian HS Pranoy in the Round of 16 clash with a 21-18, 21-19 victory.

Carolina Marin breaks down after injury forces her to withdraw at Paris 2024

On Sunday, August 4, former Olympic gold medallist, Carolina Marin of Spain was left in tears after an injury forced her early withdrawal in women's singles semifinals. India's Lovlina Borgohain suffered a 1-4 loss via split decision against Li Qian of China in the quarterfinal of the Women's 75kg event at the   Paris Olympics 2024. Qian was touted as one of the favourites at the Summer Games as she is the Tokyo 2020 Olympics silver medalist and the 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medalist.

Boxer Cindy Ngamba wins refugee Olympic team's first medal ever

Cindy Ngamba guaranteed the Refugee Olympic Team their first medal in history after comfortably winning her boxing quarter-final in Paris on Sunday. Ngamba, who was born in Cameroon but sought safe haven in Britain aged 11, beat France's Davina Michel with a unanimous points decision to reach the last four of the women's 75kg category and win at least bronze. The 25-year-old boxer is a lesbian, which is illegal in her native country.
