Following a washout in the first T20I of the three-match series, India and South Africa played the second T20I however with rain interrupting play. The hosts took a lead in the three-match series after clinching the second match by five wickets (DLS method). The Rovman Powell-led side also beat the Three Lions by four wickets to seal the first match of the five-match T20I series, courtesy Andre Russell's all-round performance on return.

South Africa beat India by 5 wickets by DLS method to go 1-0 up

The Aiden Markram-led side beat the visitors to end their three-match winning streak on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 at the St George's Park in Gqeberha. The Proteas Men won the toss and put India to bat first. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side put up 180/7 in 19.3 overs with rain interrupting play. The target for the home side was cut short to 152 in 15 overs.  Hendricks and Breetzke got their side off to a flier as the duo stitched 42 off 17 balls. However, Stubbs and Phehlukwayo held their nerves and took their side off to a convincing victory, helping the side go 1-0 up in the three-match series.

BBL 2023-24: Brisbane Heat beat Sydney Thunder by 20 runs

Colin Munro-led Brisbane Heat registered their second win to go on the top of the points table with five points. After the Chris Green-led side decided to put Heat to bat first, they put up 151/7, courtesy Munro's knock of 46 runs off 33 deliveries. However, the Green-led side failed to chase the total as they were bundled out for the score of 131 in 19 overs, losing the game by 20 runs.

BCCI announces India U19 squad for tri-series in South Africa and World Cup

The Junior Selection Committee has picked India’s U19 Men’s squad for the tri-series in South Africa and the upcoming ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2024.
