The cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) has finished its 17th season as the Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the SunRisers Hyderabad to clinch their third IPL title. Apart from them, the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru claimed the third and fourth spot respectively. KKR all-rounder Sunil Narine was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament while RCB's Virat Kohli won the orange cap and PBKS' Harshal Patel bagged the purple cap.

  • USA vs Bangladesh: The co-hosts of the T20 World Cup 2024, the United States of America, who recently defeated Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, are scheduled to host The Tigers at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas for a warm-up match at 09:00 p.m. IST.

T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up: Namibia,  Oman, and  Canada  win their respective clashes

On Monday, May 27, three T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches took place between Namibia and Uganda, Oman and Papua New Guinea, and Canada and Nepal. While Namibia defeated Uganda by 5 wickets with 7 balls remaining, Oman beat PNG by three wickets and five balls remaining, and Canada thrashed Nepal by 63 runs.

Star Australian pacer and a veteran of the game of cricket, Mitchell Starc has opened up on calling curtains to his elaborate career. The 34-year-old who played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) win against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 Final on Sunday, May 26, spoke of retiring from one format to focus on franchise cricket.  However, the Aussie did not specify the format he intends to leave but added that focusing on franchise cricket will give him time to be around his family.
