On Sunday, October 15, Spain, Turkey, and Scotland became the three new teams to secure qualification in the UEFA Euro 2024, after France, Portugal, and Belgium did it a couple of days ago. When Spain got the better of Norway by 1-0 in their qualifying match for the Euros in Group A, they found their way in the main tournament next year, alongside Scotland from the same group, while Turkey defeated Latvia by 4-0 in Group D to ensure their participation too.

The captain of England, Jordan Henderson shared his disappointment on getting booed by the fans at Wembley Stadium in London, during an international friendly against Australia, on October 13. The 33-year-old, who made his first appearance for England after joining the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittifaq from Liverpool, was quoted as saying, “It's not nice, your own fans (booing). I love playing for England.”

Newcastle have reportedly shown interest in Emile Smith Rowe, the academy graduate of Arsenal, ahead of the January transfer window, after he has seemingly fallen out of favour with his current manager Mikel Arteta. The 23-year-old has set the stage alight for Arsenal after making the first team during the 2020/21 season, but since then, he has had a few injury issues, causing his form to dip drastically at the club.
