Indian junior hockey team defeated Pakistan 6-5 in shootout to win the bronze medal at the Sultan of Johor Cup 2023 on Saturday. Arun Sahani (11’), Poovanna CB (42’), and captain Uttam Singh (52’) scored for India while Pakistan’s goals came from Sufyan Khan (33’), Abdul Qayyum (50’) and Shahid Hannan (57’). India made it to the bronze medal match after losing the semifinal to Germany 6-3.
