The Indian subcontinent is currently mourning the recent tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which left 28 innocent lives dead. However, since the attack on Tuesday, April 22, the Indian government has taken several stringent actions. In the wake of these attacks, former India cricketer and legend Sunil Gavaskar also let an emotional outburst on live television.
Speaking during live telecast of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Gavaskar issued a strongly worded condemnation, dropping a scathing rebuke. "I just wanna ask a question to all the perpetrators, and all those who backed them (the terrorists), their handlers - What has all this fighting achieved?", he said.
"For the last 78 years, not one millimetre of land has exchanged hands, is it? So, for the next 78,000 years, nothing is going to change. So why don't we live in peace instead and make our country strong? So that is my appeal," the 75-year-old further added, while speaking on Star Sports.
