Ahead of IPL 2021, the cricketers across all the nations have finally got an opportunity to share the dressing rooms with each other. After a grueling ODI series between India and England, Tom Curran and Sam Billings have joined Delhi Capitals where they have Rishabh Pant and Shikhar Dhawan for company. As the players get set for the upcoming edition, an Indian veteran in the form of Amit Mishra had a funny moment with the English duo.

Delhi Capitals' exclusive dressing room chat

The leg-spinner was having a quick glance at Sam Billings' bats collection. Amit Mishra teased the England batsman by trying to take away his bat. As Sam took away his bat from the Indian, Mishra said, "You said to me you'll give me a bit, you've taken it back." While the fun moment was going on, there was a statement from Tom Curran which stole all the limelight in the video. The 26-year-old said, "Even Indian bowlers have better bats than English batters," much to the amusement of Mishra and Billings.

Curran referring to Shardul Thakur

As the comments from Tom Curran went viral on social media, Twitterati were quick to point out the fact that the statement could have been a result of the 'Shardul Thakur effect'.

In the 3rd ODI between India and England in Pune last month, Indian pacer Shardul Thakur had hit a huge six off the bowling of Ben Stokes. The England all-rounder was completely stunned and had a look at Thakur's bat.

Curran, who was watching the action from bench, would have certainly noticed this. The whole England team were quite impressed with Thakur's shot as well as his bat. It would have certainly prompted Tom to make those sly comments to Amit Mishra when he got an opportunity.
