The competition is a Continental Tour Gold meet, a top-tier World Athletics event. It is to be noted that the tournament has its name behind Paavo Nurmi, a Finnish middle-distance and long-distance runner who was known as the ‘Flying Finn’.
The Indian javelin ace started his season by winning the Doha Diamond League on May 5, finishing at the top with a gold. Soon after his finish, Chopra also reached his career high of No. 1.
