In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the latter’s opener veteran Rohit Sharma showcased his mettle again and played a 53-run knock off just 36 balls. His knock didn’t include any six, just the nine fours, which stunned his fans. Along with his opening partner Ryan Rickelton, Rohit stitched a 116-run partnership for the first wicket in just 71 balls. Rickelton departed in the 12th over after falling against Maheesh Theekshana while Rohit followed the Protea to the pavilion in the next over while attacking RR’s stand-in skipper Riyan Parag’s delivery.

The 38-year-old’s dominating batting show has received praise from netizen. The star player’s fans were dazed to witness his knock without a maximum but have also commended his composed batting style in the game. An X user named Anshuman hailed the MI’s legend innings and wrote, "3rd fifty In last 4 innings! Rohit Sharma is showing levels to everyone out there who talk about consistency. When this guy shows up, everyone else sit down. GOAT of IPL. @ImRo45. #MIvsRR."

Here are the fans reactions on Rohit Sharma's fifty in IPL 2025 clash against RR:

Mumbai deliver a target of 218 to the home side

After the departure of both openers, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya took RR's bowling attack to the cleaners and helped MI post a heavy total of 217/2 in their 20 overs. Both stitched a 94-run partnership for the third wicket off just 44 balls.

Suryakumar smashed an unbeaten 48 off 23 with seven bounadries (four fours and three maximums). Skipper Hardik also produced the twin knock as he also hit 48 runs off 23 balls. However, Pandya dealed in more fours as the 31-year-old notched up six fours and a maximum during his rapid innings. MI haven't won any game against RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium since 2012. In the second innings, the visiting side will look to breach Rajasthan's fortress.
