World Cup 2016- Semifinalists
In what proved to be MS Dhoni’s last T20 World Cup as the captain, India finished as the semifinalists. The 2007 winners won three of their five matches and ended up on the defeating side of the semifinal fixture. They went down to the West Indies by a margin of seven wickets, who eventually won the tournament for the second time.
