Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is one of the legends of sport in the country. Winning all the possible accolades in the world during his scintillating career for India, the 39-year-old announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020. However, the fans can never stop talking about Thala when he returns to play in IPL. One of the latest entrants in the list of MSD admirers is India's legendary music composer, A.R. Rahman.

Thala and Chinna Thala gets perfect song dedication

The Oscar winning composer was asked to dedicate a song to the captain of Chennai Super Kings. While there are many amazing songs directed by A.R. Rahman, the 54-year-old chose the song 'Chale Chalo' from the movie Lagaan. He said that it is a song that motivates everyone to play together. Mahi has certainly excelled in that aspect of his game throughout his career as a leader and this song sounds very apt for him.

Meanwhile, Rahman also dedicated a song to CSK's Chinna Thala. He said, "And for Suresh Raina, I would like to dedicate the song 'Mangta Hai Kya', because whenever I went to Bangalore, they were listening to a lot of songs from Rangeela."

MS Dhoni is even more famous than me: A.R. Rahman

In a conversation with Star Sports, the ever-humble music composer opined that CSK skipper MS Dhoni is even more famous than him. A.R. Rahman revealed a very interesting story when his son met Thala. He said, "One day my son said 'Daddy I met Dhoni uncle today and I'm so happy that he talks so many good things about you'. It was very nice and kind gesture of our Dhoni"

There is no doubt that these two legends from the world of music and cricket are loved by all the citizens of the country. The duo has brought so many laurels to the nation and there is nothing more heartwarming to see both of them sharing such a great comradery with each other.
