Swiss born Italian engineer Mattia Binotto has handed his resignation and would leave by end of year after weeks of media speculation as his contract was about to get expired in 2023. - Mattia Binotto was born on 3 November 1969 in Lausanne, Switzerland to Italian parents (Nationality: Italy).
- Binotto obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering during 1994 in École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne Public Research University.
- Binotto later pursued Masters in Motor Vehicle Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and joined Scuderia Ferrari team in 1995.
- Ferrari won most matches from 2000-2004 & 2006 in F1 race with Michael Schumacher being the driver of their side and Binotto was associated with Ferrari team all these years.
- In 2013, Mattia Binotto was appointed as head of engine department for Ferrari company.
- In 2016, Mattia Binotto was appointed as Chief Technology Officer of the Prancing Horse, replacing James Allison.
