In the women's 10m air rifle competition at the ongoing Asian Games 2023, India's shooting prodigy Ramita Jindal took home the bronze medal. The teenage shooter faced several stressful conditions and tough competition on the way to the podium.

Ramita came in second place in the qualification round with a stellar score of 631.9. Her effort helped her advance to the eight-shooter final, where she eventually won the bronze medal, behind two Chinese shooters.
Before this, she had defeated a Chinese shooter in a stressful situation to take home the junior gold medal at the World Championships. Ramita contributed to the Indian team's silver-medal performance in the women's 10m air rifle team competition with a combined score of 1886. With totals of 631.9 and 630.8, Ramita and Mehuli Ghosh qualified for the individual finals.
Mehuli Ghosh, who came in fourth place behind Ramita, narrowly missed a podium finish. With a score of 252.7, Huang Yuting of China won the gold medal and established a new Asian Games record. Han Jiayu of China came in second place, trailing Yuting with a score of 251.3.
The shooter had previously said that she loved accounting and finance since she had a knack of mentally calculating her scores. Jindal began her shooting career in 2016 when her father, tax advisor Arvind Jindal, took her to Kurukshetra's Karan Shooting Range. She trains in Chennai with Neha Chavan as her current coach.
