French striker Karim Benzema has made a cryptic statement addressing his possible move out of Real Madrid as his contract with the Spanish club ends in June. Hence, several reports of the Frenchman joining Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad on a massive contract have been making the rounds of the internet.

But while speaking at the  Marca Leyenda award ceremony, Benzema made a strange comment about his future in Spain. The 2022 Ballon d'Or winner talked about how there is no reason for him to address Real Madrid fans as the reports about him leaving have been just making the rounds on the internet.

He said,  “Speak to Madrid fans? Speak about what? Why speaking of the future if I’m in Madrid…  Who’s speaking is internet. The reality is NOT internet”.  Further, Benzema also expressed that he is currently focusing on Real Madrid's last La Liga game of the season. He said,  “Stay or leave Real Madrid? At the moment, I’m here… we have a game on Saturday”.

Further talking about Real Madrid fans, Benzema expressed that he has always appreciated the love and adoration of the Los Blancos supporters and even described them as a vital cog in the team's success. He said,  “I know how much Real Madrid fans love me. I feel that when I’m on the pitch. I give my best for them, always.  I always say that we play with 11 on the pitch but also with crucial factor, Real Madrid fans”.

Karim Benzema also reflected on his career at the  Santiago Bernabéu and expressed his journey to be a dream come true as he always wanted to play for Real Madrid. He said,  “I am very proud of my career. I remember when I signed here at Real… I was a kid, with a dream to play for Real Madrid one day”
