The reigning champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While the KKR are unbeaten in the tournament, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK are coming on the back of two straight defeat from two games.
As the two skippers took the field, it was home captain who won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. After winning the toss, Gaikwad confirmed that Matheesha Pathirana and Deepak Chahar missed out in the Playing XI with their respective injuries. “Pathirana is not available, Deepak Chahar has a niggle. So we have Shardul back, Mustafizur back and Rizvi,” Gaikwad said.
“We will bowl first. We have confidence. We have lost by a few runs margin, but it hasn’t dented our confidence. We have had some forced changes too. Definitely trying to win,” he also added at the toss.
