On Monday, May 5, in match number 55 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are hosting Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. However, both teams are coming into this match on the back of defeats in their respective matches, the DC will be eager to end their losing streak and consolidate their position in the top four.
As the two skippers walked out for the toss, it was SRH skipper, Pat Cummins, who won the toss and elected to field first, thus inviting the visitors to put the score first on the board. “We'll bowl. We've talked about a few things, haven't had a complete game yet. Want to do the basics well. It's about giving yourself the chance, everyone's a match-winner,” Cummins said.
T Natarajan comes in place of Mukesh Kumar in DC’s XI
Furthermore, when looked in depth, SRH walked out on the field with a couple of changes as Mohammed Shami, Kamindu Mendis and Nitish Kumar Reddy, all were benched, making way for some new faces. On the other hand, DC skipper also was inquired of the changes in his XI to which Axar Patel replied, “Same combination, three seamers and three spinners”.
In a notable change, Mukesh Kumar has made his way back from the XI, making way for T Natarajan. This change comes after there were questions raised on DC benching the left-arm pacer after securing his services for whopping INR 10.75 Crore.
