On Tuesday, May 6, in match number 56 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) are hosting the IPL 2022 winners, Gujarat Titans (GT) in a reverse fixture, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, both teams are coming on the back of a win in their respective previous matches, they will be fighting to get two crucial points under their belt tonight to edge closer to the final four.

As the two skippers walked out for the toss, it was GT captain, Shubman Gill who won the toss and decided to bowl first. “We will bowl first. I don't think the wicket will change much, got to have a total on the board and then chase it. It's all about delivering our best as a team,” Gill said at the toss.

Washington Sundar makes way for Arshad Khan in MI vs GT

When inquired about his team combination, Gill confirmed of a change, stating that Arshad Khan returns in place of Washington Sundar. “We have one change. Arshad comes back for Sundar,” he said. Furthermore, Gill was also questioned for not naming South African speedster, Kagiso Rabada in their XI to which he replied, “Rabada is back (in the squad), but he will need a few practice sessions and a few games to get back in his groove.”
