Sri Lanka’s mystery spinner and all-rounder is currently playing in the Lanka Premier League back in his home nation and leading the B-Love Kandy team. Although he is having an amazing tournament individually, his team has lacked the spark and managed to win just three games out of five so far. As a result, they are placed at the bottom of the points table.

Playing in B-Love Kandy’s fifth game of the season, Hasaranga was seen wearing a jersey with a different number. Hasaranga, who usually dons the no.49 jersey, was seen wearing the no.200 jersey on the field on Tuesday.

The spinner achieved a new milestone in his previous game, which was against the Jaffna Kings. He bowled a brilliant spell of spin bowling, and grabbed three wickets in the game. Hasaranga was on 198 career T20 wickets, before that match, but his three scalps took his tally to 201 wickets, thus creating a prestigious milestone for the 26-year-old. To commemorate this special milestone, the player wore the no.200 jersey in Tuesday’s match against the Galle Titans.

Talking about the match, Galle Titans won the toss and opted to field. But that move seemed to have backfired, as B-Love Kandy took charge of the game and posted a massive total of 203, which was also the first 200+ score of the season. Fakhar Zaman and Angelo Mathews starred in the beginning, providing crucial cameos. But it was the magic spinner Hasaranga, who provided the finishing touches and top scored for Kandy. His innings of 64(27) consisted of nine 4s and two 6s.

In response, Titans were unable to do much, and collapsed to a score of114, with Hasaranga having the spotlight once again, as he picked up two crucial wickets.
