Indian men's senior team will be back on the field after a gap of more than one month following the unfortunate WTC 2023 final loss against Australia at The Oval. On the other hand, West Indies are coming after a shocking exit from ODI World Cup 2023 after playing a poor brand of cricket in the qualifiers stage, hence they have a point to prove against the mighty Indians on their home soil.

Indian team have been pretty consistent in the two World Test Championship Cycles from 2019-21 and 2021-23, but unfortunately, they ended up losing both the finals and once again they would look to start WTC 2023-25 cycle with a positive note by defeating West Indies.
