One of the greatest finishers in the game of cricket, MS Dhoni will be back in action at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The 42-year-old, who led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to record fifth IPL title in 2022, will take the field on March 22 as CSK takes on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament opener.

However, the veteran’s future in the cash-rich league has been the key talking point after the former India captain conveyed that he would like to play another season just for the fans. With speculations surrounding his future in IPL, MS Dhoni’s childhood friend Paramjit Singh provided a huge update on the same.

Speaking to OneCricket, Paramjit Singh said, “I do not think this will be his (Dhoni’s) last season. He is still fit. I think he will play one or two more seasons. He will definitely play one more season. The reason is he is fit.” As always, the answer to if IPL 2024 will be MS Dhoni’s last, will be confirmed at the 2024 edition comes to a close.

Recently, MS Dhoni was seen practicing in the nets where he was seen sporting Prime Sports sticker. It is to be noted that Paramjit played a crucial role in helping Dhoni gets his first bat sponsor.

Speaking of IPL 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the schedule for the first 17 days. While CSK will kickstart their campaign on March 22, they will next play Gujarat Titans on March 26, followed by a game against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 31 and April 5, respectively.
