France stunned Morocco to seal the final berth in the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Les Bleus beat Morocco 2-0 in the semifinal on Wednesday night at the Lusail Stadium. The Dider Deschamps’ team will now go head-to-head with Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final on December 18, 2022 at the Lusail Stadium.

 

In a big update coming from Qatar, star French footballer and 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema has received a green signal from the officials. The 34-year-old striker who was ruled out of the tournament because of a thigh injury which he suffered on the eve of the tournament opener.

 

Benzema has reportedly recovered from the injury and could make a shocking return ahead three final clash at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

 

According to a report published on Thursday in the Spanish publication Marca, the star forward has been training without any fitness concerns. He could fly back to Qatar to join the squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022 final.  

 

However, on being asked if Benzema is back with the World Cup squad, the France manager Didier Deschamps refused to answer this. If France wins the FIFA World Cup 2022, they will become only the third team in history and first in 60 years to win back-to-back World Cup titles.
