Just a few hours to the much-awaited World Test Championship Final 2021-23 and both teams are preparing hard get their hands on the Test mace and the prize money. While the Pat Cummins-led Australia are making their first appearance in the WTC Final, the Men in Blue were a part of the inaugural edition under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

 

Just days ahead of the WTC Final, Australia skipper confirmed their choice of third seamer. Although the side will be without the likes of Josh Hazlewood, who failed to regain full fitness for the WTC Final, C ummins has named Scott Boland as their third seamer choice. Boland’s name comes ahead of Hazlewood’s replacement in Michael Neser.

 

Talking more about Boland, the 34-year-old Australian cricketer has had a brilliant run-of-form in Test cricket. While addressing the media, Cummins clarified that there is no pecking order further asserting, “Scott is a seam bowler on a good length, but he offers something slightly different to Josh Hazlewood, and Starcy being a left hander is bit different.”
