Wimbledon 2022 Finals Draw: Schedule, Order of play & more

The Women's Singles final will take place on July 9 whereas the Gentlemen's Singles final will be held on July 10.

After a grueling group stage and the knockout rounds, the tennis fans are awaiting both the men’s and women’s Wimbledon finals. All these four players have gone through a tough route to reach the summit and will give their everything to reach the pinnacle of pro-tennis. The women’s game will see Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur and Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan in an unexpected final.

Jabeur took down Germany’s Tatjana Maria 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 whereas Elena Rybakina defeated tournament favourite Simona Halep from Romania. Both these competitors weren’t touted to reach the final but for tennis fans, they are in for a hard-fought battle of the underdogs. 

Now talking about the men’s finals, the battle is between the all-dominant Novak Djokovic who cruised through the semi-finals against the hometown hero Cameron Norrie. The Djokovic lost the first set 6-2 and then went to win the next consecutive sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.

Whereas the second semi-final was called off as the 2022 Australian and French Open winner Rafael Nadal had to pull out of the tournament because of injury concerns. This led to Nick Kyrgios’ direct qualification to the final.
