The 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup is all set to get underway in South Africa. As many as ten teams will compete at the showpiece event. Defending champions Australia will hope to retain the title, as they beat India in the last Women’s T20 World Cup final in 2022.

However, India has emerged significantly well since then and is regarded among favorites to win the title. Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has played brilliant cricket in recent past and will surely fancy their chances in the ICC tournament. But, to beat Australia at such a crucial competition will not be a cakewalk for Women in Blue as the five-time ICC Women’s T20 World Cup champions will not leave any stone unturned to continue their dominance in the ICC competition. Australia and India, last played in the finals of the Commonwealth Games 2022, where Australia clinched gold by winning the game by nine runs.

Talking about the groups, Group A consists of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. While Group B will feature England, India, Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland. Each team will play the other four in their group once. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on February 23 and 24. 

The final is scheduled for February 26, with a reserve day available on February 27. As the competition guarantees mouth-watering contest between the teams, we aim to keep all the cricket fans updated with the points table.
