Chris Gayle heaped praise on Jofra Archer while speaking in an interview recently. It is to be noted that Chris Gayle’s remarks come after Jofra Archer has struggled with injuries in the last two years. He has not played a lot of international cricket owing to injuries. Due to elbow and back ailments that have put his career in risk, Archer hasn't played a Test since March 2021 and has only recently made a comeback to international cricket after a nearly two-year layoff.

Chris Gayle, a former West Indies cricketer who was recently seen at the Miami Grand Prix along with several other stars from Hollywood as well as sports arena recently said in an interview, “It’s great to see Jofra Archer back in the field. England and world cricket need him. We need an express fast bowling entertainer like him”. He also added that he saw Archer play in the IPL and was glad to see him back in the field.

With the Ashes series beginning on June 16 in Edgbaston, there is hope that Archer will be able to contribute significantly. Jofra made his comeback into international cricket against Bangladesh after a long break in March earlier this year. He is currently representing the Mumbai Indians in the IPL after being picked by the side in the 2022 auction. He has picked two wickets in five games and has bowled at a slightly expensive economy of 9.50. He will be of great service for England in the Ashes in the swinging English conditions.
