The start of 2022 edition of Pakistan Super League has proven to be a nightmare for Karachi Kings. Despite the matches being played at their home stadium, Babar Azam's side have been outplayed by all their opponents so far.

It was the same story for them once again on Friday as the Kings succumbed to a comprehensive defeat at the hands of Peshawar Zalmi, which was their 4th consecutive loss of the season. While chasing a target of 174 runs, it was only Babar Azam (90* off 63) who was among runs as Kings fell short of the target by 9 runs.

They are yet to open their account this season and fans certainly did not miss the opportunity to troll the team for another lacklustre display. While an image of a crying fan, supposed to be a Karachi fan, surfaced on the internet to add misery, few people even termed Kings as the worst team of PSL 2022.

One of the users went on to claim that Karachi Kings has ticked-mark all the boxes as they are a team who can't bat, bowl, defend, chase, field, keep, win etc. There was a common belief among the users on social media that it's high time that the team should introspect and try to understand what's going wrong for them.

While one would have thought that Babar's knock was one of the positives for Kings, their fans were equally disappointed with their captain as well. The right-handed batsman scored more than 50% of the runs but most of his boundaries came when the match was done and dusted.

The netizens were not unhappy with the way Babar batted on the day as his strike rate was not that impressive for the most part of his innings. He took 40 balls to complete his half-century and the ever-increasing required run-rate turned out to be too much in the end, which left the fans in agony.

On the other hand, some of the fans opined that it's a one-man team right now and Babar Azam is an unlucky captain as he has no support from his teammates.

After 4 losses in 4 games, Karachi Kings are now slated to play against Islamabad United on Sunday, which is going to be another tough challenge for them going ahead.
