The second final of the World Test Championship commenced from June 7 at The Oval. Rohit Sharma-led squad are taking on Australia in the ‘Ultimate Test’ and are eyeing to end their 10-year-old ICC drought. While Pat Cummins is leading his team to their maiden WTC Final, India are playing in their second final, after they slumped to New Zealand in the final of the opening edition by eight wickets. In the entire WTC 2021-23 cycle, the only series that Australia lost was the last they played in the Indian subcontinent where they slumped to a 2-1 defeat against the hosts in February-March 2023.
