
The Day 4 of the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia was another entertaining affair with Team India 280 runs away from a historic victory. The day started with India getting an early wicket as Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed by Umesh Yadav at 41.
Soon Cameron Green also departed when the Aussie tail with Alex Carey kept scoring crucial runs before Pat Cummins decided to declare the innings at 270-8 and set India a massive 44-run target in the fourth innings. The Men in Blue got off to a great start with a 41-run partnership in seven overs before Shubman Gill got out on a controversial catch.
Then the Rohit Sharma-Chestashwar Pujara duo added 31 runs before both were dismissed in quick succession bringing on Virat Kohli and then Ajinkya Rahane. The Kohli-Rahane pair rescued India from their mini-collapse and stitched up a 71-run partnership as Day 4 ended at a score of 164-3 in 40 overs.
Talking about the weather forecast for Day 5, Sunday morning is set to be warm with temperatures going up to 28°C thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and a 50% Chance of rain according to weather.com.
