By now, wrestling fans have completely understood that cutting awesome promos are just as important as winning matches inside the ring. Speaking of promos, Roman Reigns has improved by leaps and bounds when it comes to cutting promos in WWE.
The current champion completely owns his opponent on the microphone. Moreover, Reigns looks right into the camera and trash talks during the matches. Recently, wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page, aka DDP confessed that Reigns’ promos are similar to WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts.
Speaking on his podcast, DDP Snake Pit, Page confessed that Reigns’ current promos are very similar to Roberts, who is still considered one of the most intimidating heels in the wrestling business.
"I'm so bummed Jake [Roberts] isn't here; I wanted to talk about this. When you listen to Roman [Reigns] talk, he has, it's his own thing, but it's kind of reminiscent of Jake a little bit, where you never hear Roman yell. You don't hear him like, he will tune up, but he keeps that composure that Jake could do, you know?"
DDP doesn’t care if Roman Reigns works fewer dates in WWE
Recently, ‘The Tribal Chief’ of WWE received a lot of heat from the fans because of working on lesser dates, and not appearing every week on Friday Night SmackDown. However, Page confessed on his podcast that it doesn’t matter if Reigns work fewer dates.
Speaking on his podcast, the WCW legend explained why Drew McIntyre did not beat Reigns. Page said that McIntyre is still not on the same level as Reigns when it comes to cutting promos or engaging the crowd.
"It's different and the way he is doing it, like, I listen to him, I watch him. I'm like; he is the man! And that's why Drew [McIntyre] didn't beat him because he wasn't done. He wasn't ready to walk away. He might have less dates or whatever, but he didn't want to have to do anything. He is in that spot!" , said DDP.
