Fans witnessed a thrilling episode of NXT on September 20. Th e highlight of the NXT was the fight between Tyler Bate and JD McDonagh to become the next No. 1 challenger to Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship.
Meanwhile, Wendy Choo received thrashing from Cora Jade. Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley combined to take out Toxic Attraction. Meanwhile, Von Wagner squared up against Sanga in a duel of titans. Carmelo Hayes made a strong comeback after earlier losing the NXT North American Championship to Solo Sikoa.
Talking about the encounter of Cora Jade and Wendy Choo, Jade initially struggled with Choo offensive tackle. However, Jade never lost control of the action and won with DDT.
On the other hand, Long-time rivals, Tyler Bate and JD McDonagh squared off for the title shot. After some heated brawl, McDonagh pulled up Bate for a top rope Spanish Fly before yanking him off the canvas for a Devil Inside to secure a hard-fought victory.
However, McDonagh’s happiness didn’t last long as soon after Breakker entered the ring to beat him up. But then former NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov entered into the ring and glared down both McDonagh and Breakker to end the show in a grand fashion.
