Living up to all expectations, 26 September’s WWE Raw was full of action, drama and emotions where the audience witnessed some incredible matches featuring the top wrestlers of the promotion. The episode began with former women’s champions Asuka and Alexa Bliss calling out Damage CTRL and addressing that she will be present at Extreme Rules to keep IYO SKY and Dakota Kai in check during the ladder match for the title.
Bayley and her squad stormed out and agreed to the challenge. She then addressed how Biannca Belair has been fast-tracked and groomed to be a champion while she has been prepping for this chance since she was 12 years old.
After a few more verbal exchanges, the reigning champion called out one of Bayley’s teammates for the bout as she couldn’t wait till Extreme Rules when IYO SKY stepped up. Biannca started off strong only to lose control of the match until she came back by taking out Bayley and Dakota Kai at ringside. She then dodged SKY's aerial attack and hit the K.O.D. for the win.
Then came out Seth Rollins and proclaimed to defeat Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules and hold the king of the Fight Pit name. He then had some words for Rey Mysterio when Rollins was ambushed by the Legendary Luchador. The bell rang and both these fighters were going blow to blow until interference from Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley of Judgment Day. This distraction allowed Rollins to get in a vicious Stomp/Peruvian Necktie combination and win the fight. After the Rollins-Mysterio bout, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano teamed up to take down Alpha Academy composed of Chad Gable and Otis.
After some intense action and a failed interference attempt by Autin Theory, Gargano landed a deadly DDT on Chad Gable to secure the W for him and Owens. The next major bout on RAW saw new women wrestler The Poison Pixie made a surprise debut to take down Nikki A.S.H. with a Swinging Neckbreaker off the second rope.
Then the audience in Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada saw one of their own, Sami Zayn face the Phenomenal AJ Styles in an entertaining fight. Both wrestlers were looking at the top of their game until Zayn’s allies, "The Honorary Uce" distracted the referee long enough for Solo Sikoa to hit the Phenomenal One with a Uranage Slam following which Zayn hit his Helluva kick to seal the win over AJ styles. Later, the former WWE champion was confronted by Finn Balor who asked him to join forces with Judgement day. As AJ Styles denied, the faction pummeled the defeated superstar.
The main event of the night, Judgement Day’s Damian Priest took on Matt Riddle in a fight which was full of fast-paced action and acrobatics. With superstars moving with incredible speed the audience was presented with some high-quality wrestling. But as the bout was nearing its end, Riddle rolled up Priest to steal a quick win via pinfall.
Later, Judgement Day once again made an appearance to take down Riddle, when the Rated-R superstar Edge made a surprise appearance to save the Floating Bro before challenging Finn Bálor to an “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules.
