On Monday, March 11, it was announced that Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest boxers of all time, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024. Muhammad Ali is going to be inducted posthumously, which will be done by his widow Lonnie Ali, on April 5, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, during WrestleMania weekend.

Variety, who broke the news about Muhammad Ali getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024, spoke about his journey in professional wrestling, which began with him fighting an exhibition match against Antonio Inoki in 1976. In the buildup to this contest, the American appeared at a WWF show, now known as WWE, entering the ring before challenging Gorilla Monsoon.

The biggest pro-wrestling moment in the career of Muhammad Ali happened at WrestleMania I during the year 1985, when he was a special guest referee in the main event wherein Hulk Hogan and Mr T took on Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Apart from this, he was also a guest of honour at the infamous “Collision in Korea” PPV from 1995, held in North Korea.

Notably, Muhammad Ali, who passed away at the age of 74 in 2016, is the latest inductee for the class of 2024, joining fellow inductees Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano, and the U.S. Express tag team of Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham. The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for the class of 2024 will be livestreamed on Peacock, beginning at 10 PM ET/ 9 PM CT.
