Yakuza creator sheds light on the move

In a conversation with IGN, Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Kazuki Hosokawa opened up on what the future holds for the franchise. They said, "The Yakuza series has been transformed into a turn-based RPG. On the other hand, over the years, Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has accumulated resources and know-how of making flashy and exhilarating action games that are effortless to enjoy. We decided that we should let our signature action gameplay live on through Lost Judgment."

Hence, the studio is making sure that they cater to the needs and interests of all types of gamers through this strategic move. While the fans of Brawler games can switch to Lost Judgement, the turn-based games lovers can indeed stick with Yakuza.
