The Pakistan Cricket Team failed to impress fans and former cricketers with their dismal performance in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and many Indian legends criticised the Men in Green's approach in the CWC 2023. Apart from Pakistan's disappointing run in the CWC 2023, an old video of former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq has gone viral on social media which provoked the former India spinner, Harbhajan Singh to blast Inzamam on social media.

In an old video doing rounds on social media, former PCB selection committee chairman Inzamam claimed that Harbhajan Singh was close to converting to Islam. The former Pakistan skipper talked about other former Indian players taking part in reading Namaz and other rituals with Pakistan players.

Inzamam claimed that Harbhajan was inspired by Maulana Tariq Jameel's teachings and even considered converting to Islam. Inzmam said, "Harbhajan once told me, 'My heart says that I should agree to whatever he (Maulana) says'. I said, 'Then follow him. What is stopping you?' Then, he replied, 'I see you and then I stop. Your life isn't like that.' So, it is us who are not following our religion. We are to be blamed."

However, Harbhajan was quick to respond to the viral video as he took to X and wrote, "Yeh kon sa nasha pee kar baat kar raha hai ? I am a proud Indian and proud Sikh..yeh Bakwaas log kuch bi bakte hai" which can be translated to, "What was he drinking before speaking such nonsense? I am a proud Indian and a proud Sikh".

Watch the video and Harbhajan's response:

Talking about the CWC 2023, India will take on New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday in the semifinal. On the other hand, Australia and South Africa will face each other in another semi-final clash.

Similarly, like the majority of the senior players,  Rahul Dravid and his coaching staff will also get a break. Replacing Dravid and his staff, NCA chief VVS Laxman is set to be the head coach for the five-match T20I series. Assisting Laxman,  Sitanshu Kotak and Sairaj Bahutule will be part of the coaching staff during the series.
