Manchester City striker Erling Haaland had a fun conversation with a Manchester United fan who told the Norwegian that he moved to 'the wrong side of Manchester' while he was walking around the city. So far in the 2022-23 season, the 22-year-old has already scored 10 goals in six Premier League games.

But before joining the Citizens, Manchester United were in advanced talks with Erling Haaland in 2020, but he chose to join the German squad Borrusia Dortmund. However, some supporters still not seem to be over that failed transfer. Keeping that in mind, a fan decided to have a conversation with Haaland about his decision.

The fan called Dan Fitton said, “Haaland, you came to the wrong side of Manchester.”

To this Haaland answered, “Nah, they love me here.”

The fan then replied: “United!”

Haaland said: “Yeah, they love me here.”

Finally, the fan said: “Come to us next season, United. Yeah, you know it – go on! See you later, Haaland.”

Talking about his time in the Bundesliga, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has made some key revelations as he has expressed that Erling Haaland became a "burden" and it was a relief to see him move on to Manchester City.

The 22-year-old joined the Manchester-based club for a £51.2 million transfer fee. While talking to Bild he said, “As much as we have always appreciated Erling and the success he has had with our shirt, in the end, the matter had definitely become a burden, both in the dressing room and for the club.”

“In general, for the whole environment, it was just him," Kehl stated. "The timing of the sale was right, both for us and for City. The fact that our first 10 goals this season have been scored by 10 different players proves it", he further stated.
