Pace prodigy Umran Malik has taken world cricket by storm with his sheer pace. By constantly clocking 150 kmph while also taking wickets, Umran Malik has become an integral part of Team India. Now, as Umran is currently warming the benches during the ODI series against New Zealand, an experienced Indian pacer has shared an important suggestion for the young Indian bowler.

Veteran Indian speedster Mohammed Shami, who rattled the Kiwis with the new ball alongside Md Siraj in the second one-day international, has recently admitted that he is pretty excited with the raw pace of Umran Malik but advised him to work on his line and length. Shami predicted that the 23-year-old will have a bright future and has the capability to 'rule the world' but he needs to work on his accuracy.

"There is only one piece of advice I want to give. I don’t think it's easy to play against the pace that you have. Just that we need to work a little on line and length. If we can get a command over it, we can rule the world," Shami told Umran Malik while speaking at bcci.tv.

When Umran asked how he remains so calm and happy in every match, Shami said that he does not advise anyone to take the pressure and let the mental peace get affected. "When you are playing for the country, you should not take pressure on yourself. You should keep trusting your skills. You tend to get carried away when under pressure," added Shami.

The senior pro further opined that when one stays cool and trusts his own skills, he is in a better position to execute his plans. "When you keep your cool and trust your potential, you have a better opportunity to execute your plans. When you are doing well, then the importance of focusing is more. Keep your smile on, it's white-ball cricket, anybody can get hi. But keep believing in your skill and keep an eye on the pitch and bowl accordingly," concluded Shami.
