Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli spoke about how an individual can’t make every around him/her happy in a recent interview. Kohli was speaking to sports presenter Jatin Sapru in new interview series called ‘Let there be Sport’ on Disney+ Hotstar where athletes discuss the role of sports in various aspects of life.
This interview series includes conversations with multiple top Indian athletes like Sunil Chhetri, Yuvraj Singh, Harmanpreet Kaur and more. In Virat Kohli’s chat, the former Indian captain opened up about leadership and his learnings from greats like MS Dhoni about his approach towards leading a team.
Virat Kohli said, “Absolutely, one thing I learnt from MS and others, I have seen people lead also is you cannot make everyone happy all the time. This is the absolute truth and why that happens because certain individuals will not buy into the intensity of what you are saying immediately. So they try to find their own comfortable ways which you have to ignore because vision is the priority.”

Both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have shared a great friendship over the years and could even go head-to-head in the ongoing playoffs if certain stars align. Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore have hit a downward curve with two back-to-back losses against the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.
But the Bangalore-based franchise still has a chance to qualify if they managed to win out all their remaining games with a healthy net run rate. On the other hand, Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings have consolidated their place at the upper have of the table with consistent top performances.
