One of Australia’s community cricket club is reportedly in talks with former South Africa captain AB de Villiers, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle for their upcoming T20 tournament.

Mulgrave Cricket Club, which is a part of Melbourne’s Eastern Cricket Association, confirmed that they are in talks with the T20 stars and the players could be part of the squad for this edition.

Notably, former Srilankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan played the previous edition of the tournament and is also a part of this year's squad.

“With Dilshan’s involvement and the backing of some good sponsors, we are on a recruitment drive. We are having discussions with AB de Villiers, Brian Lara and Yuvraj Singh, and though they are to be confirmed, these are the potential signings,” Mulgrave president Malin Pullenayegam said.

It is also reported that former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara could also join Mulgrave along with another former Lankan cricketer Upul Tharanga. Sanath Jayasuriya would be the coach of the team.

"We've secured Dilshan, we've secured Sanath, we've secured Tharanga. And now we are working on finalising agreements with a few other potential players," Pullenayegam told cricket.com.au.

Yuvraj Singh last featured in Road Safety Series

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was last seen playing in the Road Safety Series earlier this year. Notably, the Indian star also played cricket in Australia last year in February during a charity match between Ponting XI and Gilchrist XI to raise funds for Australia’s bushfire victims. West Indies legend Brian Lara was part of the game as well.
