India batsman except Virat Kohli struggled to score big in the first innings of third and final Test against South Africa, but Indian bowlers bounced back and bundled down hosts providing 13 runs lead to the team. However, India's second innings started in the similar fashion and batsmen were again exposed on bouncy pitches of South Africa. Virat Kohli, along with Rishabh Pant, built a decent partnership of 96 runs, before former departed while attempting to play cover drive off the bowling of Lungi Ngidi.

When it looked like another batting collapse for India, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant held the fort from one side and went on to score a century in second innings of the match, ensuring 200+ lead for India. Rishabh Pant played a brilliant knock of 100* off 139 balls, which consisted of six 4s and four 6s, without getting any support from the other end.

Twitter goes berserk after Pant's heroics

As expected, Twitter went berserk after witnessing Rishabh Pant's century knock and users applauded the wicket-keeper batsman for providing much needed lead to the team.

While Rohit Sharma had his own cheeky way of appreciating the knock (where he was presumably trying to reflect on how Pant silence his critics), former Indian cricketers in form of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar had huge words of praise for the explosive cricketer.

While the cricket experts were delighted, the fans were also ecstatic on the other hand. Twitter was flooded with posts around the brilliance of Rishabh Pant in Cape Town on Thursday.

Courtesy a sensational century from Pant, South Africa were set a target of 212 setting up the match for a thrilling finale in Cape Town.
