It is being reported that Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian star Neymar is set to miss out on the crucial Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday. Neymar has been in and out of the side recently due to a hip injury. Notably, the PSG forward missed the goalless draw against Argentina on Tuesday and has since returned to France having complained of pain in his left thigh.

Although during that period he was reported to be partying in Sao Paulo and pictures of the same were circulated on the internet. Later, he also went for back scans. According to L’Equipe, the medical reports have suggested that the 29-year-old footballer had some serious damage in his adductor muscles. This injury left him out of practice sessions held on Tuesday and he might miss out on a very important game that will determine the team’s spot in the Champions League Group A.

Not only that, the injury will force Neymar to sit out during the PSG's Ligue 1 clash with Nantes on Saturday afternoon also.

The Champions League clash between Man City and PSG is a very important game as both the teams will look to seal the top spot in Group A. Mauricio Pochettino's side beat the Blues 2-0 earlier in the group stage. However, their PSG's recent performances have not been up to mark, which has pushed them to second place. They need a victory to reclaim top spot. This makes it a tough competition with only two games ahead of the players left to decide.

Meanwhile, there is positive news for the Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain from elsewhere. Marco Verratti and Presnel Kimpembe marked their return to the game after joining a practice session held on Thursday. The coach will be much at relief as the duo joins the team after injury scare. Sergio Ramos will be preparing the team for match day after recovering from his injuries that he encountered during his time in Paris.
