On Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain is expected to announce Neymar’s contract extension. The Brazilian will sign a contract that will last until 2026. Neymar was signed by PSG for a whopping €222 million in 2017 from Barcelona, which made him the world’s most expensive player.

The news has been confirmed by famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media.

Check out his tweet:

Neymar is one of the best forward in world football after Messi & Ronaldo. The 29-year-old has netted 21 goals and 8 assists in 32 games among all competitions in the current season. He has been a pivotal player alongside Mbappe for the Ligue 1 giants. His team recently lost 4-1 on aggregate to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League Semi-Final.

However, what remains to be seen is whether Mbappe follows suit and whether or not Lionel Messi joins his former teammate at the Parc des Princes.

“It hasn’t been easy to tie Neymar down, though. Barcelona even sent representatives to Paris last summer in an attempt to force an impossible move, but their finances meant it was never likely to happen,” he added.
