West Indies' tour of Pakistan ended on a disappointing note for the visitors as the hosts clinched a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series. After thrashing the hosts in the first two matches, Pakistan pulled off a stunning victory in the last match despite the Nicholas Pooran-led side restricting the hosts to 269/9 in 48 overs.

For Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq (62 off 68) and Shadab Khan (86 off 78) made a valuable contribution with the bat, while West Indies' skipper Nicholas Pooran surprised everyone with his four-fer. Recognised as a wicket-keeper batter, Nicholas Pooran had only bowled three deliveries in the past, but when he took the ball on Monday evening he made sure that it counts for something. Pooran picked up 4 wickets in the match as he completed 10 overs for the first time.

The West Indies' skipper made an impressive start as he provided the first breakthrough to his side as he removed Fakhar Zaman (35 off 48) in the 16.4 overs, followed by prized wickets of Imam-ul-Haq (62 off 68), Mohammad Rizwan (11 off 21) and wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Haris on a duck, to eventually finish with figures of 4/48 from his 10 overs.

Nicholas Pooran' performance with the ball inspired former West Indies pacer, Ian Bishop, to put out a hilarious tweet. "Nicholas Murali Pooran," he tweeted, after witnessing a surprising performance from the West Indies skipper.

As far as the match result is concerned, West Indies batters could not capitalize on the impressive performance of Nicholas Pooran as they failed to live up to the expectations and got bundled out for 216/10 in 37.2 overs.

For visitors, Akeal Hosein's 60 in 37 deliveries was the highest score during the run chase as none of the batters delivered an impressive performance. For Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq continued his great run at the top of the order with three consecutive fifties. He now has 7 consecutive fifties in ODIs.
