Indian Cricket Team is undoubtedly one of the most loved sports sides across the globe. With captain Virat Kohli at the helm of things, the fans have often witnessed various sporting icons appreciating the Men in Blue. While it's no secret that England football skipper Harry Kane is a great admirer of Kohli and vice-versa, there is another legend from another sport who shares a great camaraderie with the Indian skipper.
Djokovic's comment on Kohli's post surprises fans
After the Indian team registered a remarkable 3-2 series win against England in the recently-concluded T20I series in Ahmedabad, Virat Kohli shared a celebratory post on Facebook. While there were around 41k comments on his post, there was one comment that completely stood out. It was the one from World No. 1 Novak Djokovic who had commented, "Congrats!!!" on Virat Kohli's post. The comment received around 1.3k reactions as Indian fans were delighted to see one legend hailing the achievement of another legend.
History of camaraderie between Kohli and Novak
It is not the first time that two iconic athletes have engaged on social media. In 2019, when Virat Kohli had expressed his appreciation for the movie ''Game Changers". At that time, the executive producer of that documentary, Novak Djokovic had thanked him for the same.
The Indian skipper is himself a big tennis fan. He had also congratulated Novak Djokovic after he claimed a historic win against Roger Federer in Wimbledon Final 2019.
There is no better sight for the fans to see sporting legends appreciating each other's achievements. It would be interesting to see if Djokovic has something to say if India also wins the ODI series against England.
