New Zealand cricketer Rachin Ravindra is celebrating his 26th birthday on November 18, 2025. The young batter has gone on to become a crucial player for New Zealand across formats in the last few years and turned out to be a key batter in major tournaments. Ravindra made his debut for New Zealand in a T20I match against Bangladesh in Mirpur on September 1, 2021.

Since then, he has so far played 17 Tests, 37 ODIs and 38 T20I matches for New Zealand, scoring 3127 runs in all three formats combined. Ravindra also comes out as a handy spin bowler on most of the occasions and has taken 45 wickets in all three formats so far. Let’s have a look at his career stats in records.

Rachin Ravindra Career

Rachin Ravindra has appeared in two Under-19 World Cups for New Zealand in 2016 and 2018. After that, he had to a couple of more years, as he finally got a chance in the T20I series in Bangladesh. The left-hander suffered a golden duck in his maiden international game. A few months later, Rachin made his Test debut against India in Kanpur in November 2021. In that game, the young batter played 91 deliveries in the second innings as the Test match ended in a draw.

On March 25, 2023, Rachin Ravindra became an all-format player for New Zealand as he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in Auckland. He was also a part of New Zealand’s squad in the ODI World Cup in 2023 and finished as the fourth highest run-scorer in the tournament, scoring 578 runs in 10 matches at an average of 64.22.
