Cricket commentator Aakash Chopra has expressed his concern over former Indian skipper Virat Kohli's poor form in the ongoing T20I series against England. Virat Kohli, who has scored 70 centuries across formats, has failed to cross the 100-run mark since late 2019.

During the second T20I against England at Edgbaston, Virat Kohli managed to score just 1 run in 3 deliveries before losing his wicket to debutant Richard Gleeson. Kohli attempted to launch the first delivery of 7th over into the stands, but his dismal run continued as Dawid Malan grabbed a wonderful catch.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra mentioned that the batter was trying to play a big shot and the pressure is mounting on him day by day. He said, "Virat Kohli got out but there is no discussion even if he doesn’t score runs, that’s what is happening at this point in time. He was trying to play a big shot and every day the pressure is mounting."

Chopra went on to say that Kohli should play cricket regularly. "That is why I felt that he should go to West Indies as well, he should play cricket everywhere, once the guy starts scoring runs, he will not stop, we all know that but he should play, is what I am feeling”, he added.

Meanwhile, Team India have managed to win the starting two T20I matches in the three-match T20I series against England. The Men in Blue are playing the third T20I against England on Sunday, July 10.
